How Sage Writers collects, stores and protects your personal data under UK GDPR. Short version: I don’t share it, I don’t sell it, and I delete it when you ask.
Sage Writers is the trading name of Bijal Shah, a sole-trader freelance copywriter based in Birmingham, UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Bijal Shah is the data controller. You can reach me at hello@sagewriters.co.uk.
Through the enquiry form on this site, I collect the information you provide voluntarily: name, email address, company name (optional), the project type you select, and the contents of your brief message. I also collect basic analytics data (page views, country-level location, device type) through privacy-respecting analytics — no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
Form submissions are used solely to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the project you’ve commissioned. Analytics data is used to understand which content is useful and which isn’t. We never sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Enquiry emails are retained for 24 months after our last contact, in case you come back to us. Project files for active clients are retained for the life of the engagement plus 6 years (HMRC requirement). Analytics data is retained for 14 months in aggregate.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict our processing, and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sagewriters.co.uk.
This site uses essential cookies only — no marketing cookies, no third-party tracking. Analytics is anonymous and aggregate.
If you have a complaint about how your data has been handled, please email us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk.
Tell me a little about your project below. Even a rough idea is enough. I'll come back with a few clarifying questions and a written quote.
