Social copy in your voice, not a content mill's.

I write social media copy for UK SMEs. LinkedIn, Instagram and X in your voice. Monthly retainers from a single brief, AI-drafted, human-refined, never engagement bait.

The problem

Why most brand voice docs briefs go wrong.

Three patterns I see in almost every rescue project. If two of these sound familiar, the brief (not the writer) is usually the bottleneck.

01

Content-mill posts

Generic motivational graphics, "Monday motivation", listicles in carousel form. Zero engagement, brand fades into noise.

02

Voice impersonators

Founder-personal-brand posts written by someone who has never spoken to the founder. Followers can tell.

03

Engagement bait

"Agree?" "Thoughts?" "👇 in the comments". Boosts vanity numbers, costs trust, gets throttled by algorithm changes.

What\'s included

Everything in a typical project.

One quote, one writer, one timeline. No à la carte upsells, no surprise add-ons.

01

Single brief, monthly.

One 30-minute call a month covers everything. No daily Slack-pinging for prompts.

02

Founder-voice or brand-voice.

Pick the lane. I capture founder voice from interview + existing posts, brand voice from style guides.

03

Multi-platform calendars.

LinkedIn, Instagram captions, X threads. Adjusted for each platform, not the same post pasted three times.

04

Engagement-led, not -bait.

Posts that earn comments because they say something specific, not because they ask "thoughts?".

05

Visual briefs included.

I write the post and tell your designer what the carousel/visual needs to do. They build, I don't guess.

06

Monthly performance review.

A short written read on what landed and what didn't. Feeds into the next month's calendar.

How it runs

Four steps, no surprises.

You always know what’s next. Each step gates the next. Nothing moves forward until you sign off the step before.

1

Voice + topics

Month one starts with a 90-minute voice capture call and a topic-pillar workshop.

2

Monthly brief

A 30-minute monthly call. Sets the angle, the platforms, the cadence for the month ahead.

3

Draft + approve

I draft a month's posts in one go. You approve in a single sitting. Visual briefs for your designer.

4

Review + iterate

End-of-month performance read. What landed feeds into the next month. Voice doc evolves with you.

Questions

Common brand voice docs questions.

How do you capture my voice?+
A 90-minute recorded interview in month one, plus a read-through of your last 20 posts and the founder Q&A from any podcasts you've done. You sign off on the voice doc before any drafting.
Can you post on my behalf?+
Yes for LinkedIn (via a scheduler like Buffer or directly), no for Instagram (Meta's API doesn't allow it reliably). Most retainers I draft, you post. That keeps you in the loop.
What if a topic blows up mid-month?+
Reactive posts are included on the multi-platform retainer, within reason, 2–3 a month. Standalone reactive comments outside that are billed at £45 each.
Do you handle community management / DMs?+
No. Posting is a different skill from responding, and the best DMs come from you. I'll happily train an in-house junior on voice consistency for replies.
What's the minimum commitment?+
Three months. Voice work in month one barely pays off until month two; one-month engagements rarely show what the work can do.
Send a brief

Have a brief I should read?

Tell me a little about your project below. Even a rough idea is enough. I'll come back with a few clarifying questions and a written quote.

  • I reply to every enquiry myself, usually the same working day
  • No autoresponders, no “I'll be in touch” form letters
  • I'll tell you honestly if I'm the wrong fit
